FAQs

How much does it cost?

The cost for ear wax removal for one, or both ears, is £55. If after I have examined your ears, there is no wax to remove, you will only be charged the consultation fee of £25

How long will it take?

The appointment will take roughly 30 minutes, though most of this time is examining, explaining and after care advice. The procedure itself is very quick.

Do I need to soften the wax first?

It is helpful if you can use over the counter olive oil drops for a few days prior to your appointment, however this is not essential.

Are home visits available?

Yes! Please call or email me to arrange.

When should I see a Doctor rather than book ear wax removal?

Speak to your GP or NHS 111 if you have sudden hearing loss, severe ear pain,  discharge or bleeding from the ear, dizziness or balance problems, recent ear surgery or a suspected foreign object. These symptoms point to something other than ear wax, and need medical assessment.
